A restoration and addition shaped by contrast—mass and lightness, old and new.
This project restores and reworks a late 19th-century Victorian home, anchored by existing foundations and structures. The house was reorganized across multiple levels, with an elevator improving access to the third floor. A restrained addition weaves through the site, connecting the house to the pool and extending living spaces outward.
The new volume remains deliberately quiet, allowing the historic structure to carry its mass and texture. An integrated Tesla solar roof and battery system supports a more self-sufficient house.
